WHARTON, TEXAS – Free admission, hotdogs and commemorative gifts while they last is on the program for Wharton Chamber Day at Wharton County Junior College’s Corbett Park. Scheduled for Thursday, April 4, the event will be held prior to the Pioneers’ game against San Jacinto College Ravens. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the game begins at 6 p.m.

Wharton Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Ron Sanders said the idea originated with chamber board member Chad Faucett, who works as a financial advisor with Edward Jones. The chamber and Edward Jones are teaming up as underwriters of the event.

“Wharton Chamber Day will be an opportunity to enjoy baseball and to showcase the facility, the team and WCJC to the Wharton community,” Sanders said.

The festivities will include free hotdogs and special gifts, while supplies last. A commemorative first pitch will be thrown out at 5:45 p.m. by Wharton Chamber of Commerce Board Chairman Kristi Kocian.
