FAQ

CE courses are noncredit training and educational opportunities. Upon successful completion of required contact hours in a CE course, you will receive a certificate of completion and CEUs rather than college credit. One CEU is equal to 10 contact hours of successful completion in a CE course or program. CEUs can count toward the required professional development hours for your career and licenses. CE classes may be listed on a college transcript but they do not affect your GPA.

At this time, CE courses are not eligible for traditional financial aid for individuals. Based on the Federal IRS tax laws, CE tuition also does not qualify for a 1098T tax credit.

Businesses and organizations may be eligible for grants. Learn more at Grants & Funding

CE reserves the right, when necessary, to cancel classes, alter schedules, or substitute instructors. In the event that a course is canceled or a schedule is altered, you will be notified using the information provided on the CE Registration Form.

If a class is canceled, you will receive a full refund in the form of a check within 7 to 14 business days. Checks will be mailed to the address provided on the CE Registration Form.

The CE Department operates under all policies set forth by WCJC in regard to students with disabilities. If you have a disability, it is your responsibility to voluntarily and confidentiality disclose information regarding the nature and extent of the disability. WCJC does not assume responsibility for providing special accommodations and services to students who have not identified themselves as having a qualifying disability and who have not made their needs known.

Specific disability services are based on individual needs and circumstances to initiate services. Contact the Disability Services Office at 979-532-6384 or disabilityservice@wcjc.edu.
