Faculty and staff are all encouraged to browse Internet websites as well as other websites for information on grant opportunities that could benefit a particular department or program at WCJC.
Other sources of information about external funding opportunities include colleagues at other colleges, information obtained at conferences and other professional meetings, professional journals and newsletters, and announcements sent directly by a funding source, such as the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Commerce, the Department of Education, or the Department of Homeland Security, or announcements sent by State of Texas agencies.
If a particular grant opportunity appears to be relevant to the department's or program's unit objectives, the faculty/staff member should alert the Resource Development office about it. If the faculty/staff member is interested in taking the lead on a grant opportunity, a Request for Review of Funding Proposal form can be completed and sent to the Resource Development office for review and presentation to the President of the College.
