Description:

General Description
The HVAC Technician is responsible for the energy management system and preventive maintenance of all HVAC and refrigeration units on campus, to maintain comfortable temperature range for students and faculty and staff. The HVAC Technician is supervised by the Assistant Director of Facilities and assists the Director as needed.

Requirements :

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Must have a certificate of completion as a technician type one and two in accordance with Section 608 & 609 of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990.
3. Technical/trade school graduation or equivalent of two years apprenticeship.
4. Three years work experience in HVAC at the journey level.
5. Knowledge of heating, refrigeration/air conditioning equipment and/or pneumatic and electrical control systems. Knowledge of all tools, materials, methods and hazards of the trade. Knowledge of local and national codes as applicable to work performed.
6. Texas driver license and insurable driving record, copy of Drivers License must be submitted with application.
7. Criminal background check required.
