The Tuition Rebate Program
This program applies to Texas residents who
have taken all course work at Texas public colleges or universities and
began as a freshman in Fall 1997 or later.
The law provides for the rebate if a student graduates (bachelor’s degree)
with no more than three attempted hours in excess of the minimum number of
hours required for his or her degree.
Attempted hours include every course for which the student has registered,
including developmental courses, repeated courses, courses for which the
student withdraws, and credit earned by exam.
Students must apply for the tuition rebate PRIOR to receiving their
bachelor’s degree, using forms provided by their university
