• ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT (ACLS)

  Tuition: $100
  
  This 16-hour skill development course for personnel practicing in critical care units, emergency departments, and paramedic ambulances. The course will teach students a system of protocols for management of the patient experiencing cardiac difficulties.  Additional cost- Required textbook available through American Heart Association or online bookstore.
  
  
• HEALTHCARE PROVIDER CPR

  Tuition: $30
  
  An 8-hour course designed for persons considering a career in the health care profession or wanting the skills to save a life. Students will be trained in the techniques of lifesaving skills for respiratory and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants. Upon completion, the students will receive a CPR card from the American Heart Association. This is a required course for all students enrolling into the EMT Program.  Additional costs- Required pocket mask and textbook available through American Heart Association or online bookstore.
  
  
• HEALTHCARE CPR REFRESHER
  
  Total Contact Hours: 8

  Tuition: $20
  
  An 8-hour refresher course designed for those who wish to renew their current Healthcare Provider CPR certification. Students will be trained in the techniques of respiratory and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants. Upon completion, the student will receive a CPR card from the American Heart Association. This is a required course for all students enrolling in the credit EMT program at WCJC.  Additional cost- Required pocket mask and textbook available through American Heart Association or online bookstore.
  
  
• INTERNATIONAL TRAUMA LIFE SUPPORT (ITLS)-BASIC
  
  Total Contact Hours: 16

  Tuition: $85
  
  This course includes lectures on theory and provides skills necessary for the management of trauma emergencies as specified by International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) guidelines. This course is required for students enrolled in the Emergency Medical Services programs.  Additional cost- Required textbook available through ITLS or online bookstore.
  
  
• INTERNATIONAL TRAUMA LIFE SUPPORT (ITLS)-ADVANCED
  
  Total Contact Hours: 16

  Tuition: $95
  
  This recertification course includes lectures on theory and provides skills necessary for the management of trauma emergencies as specified by International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) guidelines. The course is intended to be repeated multiple times in order to maintain certification.  Additional cost- Required textbook available through ITLS or online bookstore.
  
  
• PEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT-(PALS)
  
  Total Contact Hours: 16

  Tuition: $100
  
  This course includes instruction and skill building necessary for the management of pediatric emergencies as specified by the American Heart Association guidelines.
