Ms. Yancey graduated from University
of Texas School of Nursing in Houston, Texas in December 1975.
From 1976 to 1980 Ms. Yancey worked as a Pediatric Intensive
Care Nurse at the Texas Medical Center. In 1980 Ms Yancey’s
focus moved from pediatrics to adult critical care and nursing
management. While serving as Director of Nursing in a rural
facility, Ms. Yancey earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing
Administration from the University of Texas School of Nursing in
Austin, Texas. Ms. Yancey began her teaching career at Wharton
County Junior College in the Associate Degree Nursing Program in
1998. She assumed the Director position in January, 2010. |

Ms. Bonner received her Associate
Degree in Nursing from The Victoria College in 1979. She worked
the first two years of her nursing career in a Neonatal
Intensive Care Unit. The next 21 years she worked in various
positions in a small town hospital. Her positions included
Medical Surgical Charge Nurse, Home Health Director, Quality
Management/Discharge Planning, and Emergency Room. During this
time, she taught part time for The Victoria College Vocational
Nursing Program. She then took a position with Vocational
Nursing for Blinn College. Ms. Bonner worked under a grant,
Growing Regional Interest in Nursing, with The Victoria College
Associate Degree Nursing Program, for two years as a retention
specialist and assisted with simulation. During this time she
completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, then her Master of
Science through Regis University, Denver, Colorado, graduating
December 2008. She came to WCJC January 2009 as a full time
instructor for the Associate Degree Nursing Program. She has
taught Medical Surgical 2 clinical and now is focusing of
Fundamentals with newly entering nursing students.

Mrs. Esmail received her B.S. degree
and M.S. degree from Texas Woman's University. After completing
her M.S. degree, Mrs. Esmail earned her Post Master's in
Education from Texas Woman's University. Mrs. Esmail is
currently enrolled at Walden University pursuing her Doctorate
in Education. Mrs. Esmail started her teaching career at WCJC
teaching in the LVN program for three years. Mrs. Esmail has
been a full time instructor for Wharton County Junior College
since 2004 where she teaching in the Associate Degree Nursing
Program. |

Dr. Dune received his B.S.N. from
the University of the State of New York. He worked as a
Registered Nurse in several Houston area hospitals in varied
roles, from bedside to administration. He received his M.S.N.
from the University of Phoenix and has taught nursing courses in
three levels, namely, A.D.N., B.S.N. and M.S.N. He received his
D.T.S. and Ph.D. with honors from Bethany Theological Seminary,
and is currently a full time instructor for Wharton County
Junior College A.D.N. Program since August, 2009.

Mrs. Amanda Pence received her BSN
from the University of Texas at Austin in December, 2005. Ms.
Pence served as an Internal Medicine Clinic Manager and Labor
and Delivery nurse while serving in the United States Navy.
After discharge from the military, Ms. Pence’s nursing
experience focus was Maternal Child Nursing. She has been
working as the Clinical Laboratory Coordinator at Wharton County
Junior College since January of 2010. Currently she is working
to obtain her Masters Degree in Nursing Leadership from Texas
A&M Corpus Christi.

Ms. Prather graduated with a BSN
from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, a
MS from Texas Woman’s University in Houston, and post graduate
certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from TWU in
Houston. Ms. Prather has extensive experience in ICU and ED
nursing, and has been teaching full time for Wharton County
Junior College since 1983. She currently teaches a variety of
subjects in the Associate Degree Nursing Program.

Ms. Rappold received her Associate
Degree in Nursing in 1986 from the University of Arkansas at
Little Rock. The first 3 years of her career were spent at the
Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee, working as a
staff nurse and then charge nurse of a high-risk Labor and
Delivery regional referral center. After moving to Texas in
1989, she worked as a staff nurse at Woman’s Hospital in Houston
and as the coordinator of Labor and Delivery at Gulf Coast
Medical Center in Wharton. In 1998, she earned her bachelor’s
degree through Regents College in New York. She earned her
Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in
2000 and began working as an instructor at Wharton County Junior
College. Her current focus is Nursing Fundamentals. She has also
taught in Medical-Surgical I, Medical-Surgical II, and
Transition to Nursing Practice. Additionally she has served as a
clinical instructor in Obstetrics. She has been certified as a
high-risk perinatal nurse by the American Nurses Association
Credentialing Center since 1988. |

Ms Sablatura received her BSN degree
from the University of Texas. Work experience includes areas of
acute care (adult and pediatric), long term care (adult and
pediatric), psychiatric care (inpatient and outpatient), and
home health services. Since receiving her M.S. in Nursing from
Texas Woman’s College, Ms Sablatura has been a full time
associate degree nursing instructor for Wharton County Junior
College since 1988. |

Ms. Samuel received her Diploma in
General Nursing and Midwifery from the Christian Medical College
and Hospital, Punjab, India in 1972. She worked at that hospital
for two years in medical unit, surgical unit and operating room.
Since 1974, she has worked as a nurse at various hospitals in
The United States including a Psychiatric Hospital in New York,
Johns Hopkins Hospital and Veterans Administrations Hospital in
Baltimore, Veterans Administrations Hospital and Del Oro
Hospital in Houston. During this time she obtained special
certifications and degrees including Certifications in Critical
Care and Medical Surgical Nursing, Pre-requisite courses from
Houston Community College, BSN (1992) and MSN (1994) from the
University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston. Majority of
her nursing experience is in Critical Care Nursing and her MSN
focused in Critical Care Nursing with an Education and Clinical
Nurse Specialist Role. She taught at WCJC as a part time
Clinical Instructor for a year before becoming a full-time
faculty member in 1995. She has taught theory, lab and clinical
in LVN-RN transition program, Fundamentals, Maternal and Child
Health, Mental Health, Medical/Surgical and Critical Care
Nursing. |

Ms. Wall graduated from Rutgers
University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She
practice nursing for seven years and earned a Masters of Arts
degree in Nursing Education at New York University in 1989. She
taught in hospital based inservice education for nine years. Ms.
Wall has been full time faculty at WCJC since 2005. During this
time she has taught Foundations in Nursing, Nursing Skills and
Clinical Nursing for Level 1 and Level 2 Freshmen. |
