Mrs. Salas received her BS degree in physical therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch.  She is a licensed physical therapist in Texas and practiced physical therapy in various settings for 15 years.  In 1989 she initiated the development of the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Wharton County Junior College and has served as program director, academic coordinator of clinical education and faculty during this time.   She currently serves as program director and teaches Introduction to Physical Therapy, Physical Agents, Rehabilitation Techniques, Professional Issues and Clinical-Physical Therapist I, II and III.
