3,600 physical therapists and physical therapist assistants, and students. The state is divided into 13 districts so members have local representation and a number of participation opportunities.

Accreditation of Physical Therapy and Physical Therapist Assistant
Programs
The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) is recognized as the accrediting agency for education programs in physical therapy by the US Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Accreditation recognizes professional education programs for a level of performance, integrity, and quality that entitles them to the confidence of the education community and the public they serve. Accreditation status signifies that the program meets established and nationally accepted standards of scope, quality, and relevance.
