The purpose of the English Department is to provide instruction in core courses,
such as freshman composition, including research skills; literature and
philosophy courses which fulfill the requirements toward a baccalaureate degree;
humanities credits for students enrolled in technical and academic programs.
Courses are offered in a variety of formats and at several campuses. Dual
credit classes are also taught at local area high schools, staffed by both
full-time and part-time faculty.
"The English department at the FBTC has helped me to tremendously fine-tune my critical thinking skills through strategic reading and writing exercises. These skills carry over into my other classes helping me to become a better, more well-rounded college student." - Jordan Compton |
