Program Information

WCJC has been certified by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCLEOSE) as a licensed Texas Peace Officer training academy. Our graduates receive 20 college credits.

Classes are offered at the Wharton and Richmond campuses. Day and night classes are available and are limited to 35 students per class.

Persons who wish to enroll in Police Training should submit the Police Academy application electronically to lyncht@wcjc.edu or mail/deliver in-person to the Police Academy office located on the Wharton Main Campus, 911 E. Boling Hwy, LaDieu Building Rm. 115, Wharton, TX 77488.
