Bibus is a member of the Organization of American Historians and the Southern Historical Association. Her chief interests in history are the Constitution and the transitions in the United States that began about 1900. Her major interest in education is how to help students learn history while developing skills in critical thinking. |

B.A., University of Texas, Austin Ms. Brand has taught courses in U.S. History at Wharton County Junior College since 2001, and has offered on-line courses in Western Civilization. Her research explores the issues of gender, ethnicity, and class in the early 20th century United States. She is the recipient of the Brunson Award for graduate research at Texas State University (formerly Southwest Texas State University), is a member of Phi Alpha Theta, and currently serves as an advisor for the Zeta Xi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the honors society for two-year college students. |

Humanities, University of Houston-Victoria Dr. Tomek's research and publications focus on race relations in the United States. In addition to serving as section and associate editor for The Encyclopedia of American Social Movements and the International Encyclopedia of Revolution and Protest, 1500 to the Present, she has published articles on antislavery and colonization in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Tomek is also a member of the Southern Historical Association, the Organization of American Historians, Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Alpha Theta. |

| Ms. Wind is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and University of Houston. She teaches American History 1301 and 1302. Her favorite historical period is the 1930's and 1960's. One of her favorite topics to teach is the Civil Rights Movement. Her goal is for her students to understand “why did it happen?? and to see the pieces of history as they relate to the big picture. | |
