PARALEGAL STUDIES AAS DEGREE
68
semester credit hours
The AAS in Paralegal Studies
prepares students for careers as paralegals, assisting lawyers in law offices,
corporate or government legal departments, non-profits and legal clinics. It can
also serve as the first two years of study toward a Bachelor of Applied Science
degree at many colleges and universities. Contact your transfer university for
information. This program is excellent preparation for students who plan to
attend law school.
Students must earn a grade of
“C” or higher in the program capstone course (LGLA 2388) in order to graduate.
Several courses in the program
may be articulated through local and/or Tech-Prep agreements with area school
districts. Students can earn college credit toward this program while still in
high school. For more information, contact our high school Tech-Prep coordinator
or the program director.
