Program Description
Heating,
Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology (HART)
(
36 semester credit hours )
This
one-year certificate program is designed to provide the
individual with job-entry knowledge and skills in the
practical application of refrigeration and air conditioning. Students will study the methods of maintaining,
diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems.
They will study gas brazing, soldering, as well as
mechanical and electronic systems related to the present-day
heating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration service
industry.
Employment
opportunities include entry-level employment in the
residential or light commercial heating and air-conditioning
service industry, or pursuit of ones' own service
business.
The
program consists of 12 calendar months, offered in Wharton.
