  Program Description

Cosmetology ( 37 semester credit hours )

This certificate program in Cosmetology prepares students by developing positive attitudes as well as skills and technical knowledge necessary for competency in the field of cosmetology.  Designed to teach the rules and regulations of the Cosmetology Commission; classroom rules, equipment safety, professional image, bacterial decontamination and infection control, this program allows students the opportunity to acquire the individual skills necessary to complete the State Cosmetology Board Examination. 

Employment opportunities include stylist, hair coloring, and chemical technician, sales or advertising for beauty products.
