Student Handbook - Event Scheduling/Campus Dances

Recognized student organizations are allowed to use college facilities subject to the provisions in Regulation 372 which is available in the Office of Student Services.

Student organizations operating dances and athletic events, when such events include persons from outside the college, are required to provide at least one commissioned police officer for security purposes. Other events operated by student organizations usually do not require such security coverage unless the Executive Vice-President determines otherwise. Organizations are also responsible for cleaning up the facilities after the event or for paying custodial fees.

The Office of Student Activities assumes the expenses for decorations and music for the Aloha Dance, the Halloween Dance, the Holiday Party, and the Valentines Dance even though student organizations may sponsor them. The sponsoring organization will be responsible for security and custodial fees if required.
