The J. R. Peace Building provides the highest level of program support on campus.  Evening classes extend the hours of use in comparison to other campus structures.  Current programs are considered to be adequately to marginally housed.  The existing programs project increased lab spatial requirements for the future.

The physical condition of the building receives a good rating.  Basic building systems remain intact.

The mechanical system required new components and a refrigerant conversion.  To accommodate these requirements, a new chiller was installed in the winter of 1998.

Although usable, existing finishes and lighting display significant functional and aesthetic limitations.

A accomplishments include a new elevator constructed in 1994 as well as the addition of improved exterior lighting.   A new roof was installed in 1993.  Over the last couple of years, there has been a significant number of improvements to the interior of the buildingvia general painting.
