Program Information

WCJC offers freshman and sophomore academic classes in chemistry that will satisfy the transfer requirements to most universities. In addition to their academic training and teaching experience, full-time and part-time WCJC chemistry faculty members have a wealth of corporate industry experiences to share with students to prepare them for productive careers. Fully equipped and modern chemistry laboratory facilities are available for student use at four WCJC campus locations – Wharton, Sugar Land, Bay City and at the Fort Bend Technical Center in Richmond. WCJC chemistry classes will meet requirements for students who wish to major in chemistry or another science. General education students can also fulfill their science requirement with a chemistry course.
