Program Information
The WCJC Associate of Arts degree core courses (see catalog) when completed will satisfy the requirements for the first 2 years of an engineering major at most universities. As early as possible, the student should meet with a counselor at the chosen 4-year school and develop a degree plan for a bachelor's degree in engineering. Our AA degree requires 60 hours and students may not be able to transfer more than 60-66 hours. Many students transfer to universities without completing the WCJC requirements for the AA degree.
The AAS - Associate of Applied Sciences programs are intended as terminal degrees (non-transfer) for students who plan to enter the workforce immediately - examples would include electronics technology or process technology.
