Meet the Coaches
Trey Porras
Head Coach
Coach Porras has been the head coach at WCJC for four seasons. Before coming to WCJC
as an assistant coach, he coached at Texas A&M- Corpus Christi and the University
of New Mexico. Porras is a WCJC Baseball Alumna, where he was named first-team all-conference
player during his sophomore season and received the Johnnie Frankie Award for being
the most outstanding student-athlete. He continued his baseball career at the University
of New Mexico, where he was a part of the 2011 and 2012 Mountain West Conference Champions,
and received all-conference honors in 2012.
John Cannon
Assistant Coach
Coach Cannon has been the assistant coach at WCJC for five seasons. He played baseball
for four years at the University of Houston and was drafted and signed by the Los
Angeles Dodgers, where he played for five years.
Michael Molina
Assistant Coach
Coach Molina has been the assistant coach at WCJC for four seasons. Previously, he
was a scout for the Washington Nationals Association. He also played collegiate baseball
at both Otero Junior College and Sam Houston State University.
Meet the Team
Kids, it's your turn to experience being a Pioneer! Each summer, our Athletics Department hosts popular baseball camps for young people to learn and improve their athletic skills.
