WCJC AND WCJC FOUNDATION TO HOLD EVENT FOR CIRCULAR DRIVE CAMPAIGN

WHARTON, TEXAS — The Wharton County Junior College Foundation, in partnership with Wharton County Junior College, is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony in celebration of the completion of the Access to the Arts Project which added a Circle Drive in front of the Duson-Hansen Fine Arts Building on the WCJC Wharton Campus.

The Access to the Arts Campaign, initiated by the WCJC Foundation in 2018, enhanced the building’s entrance through the development of a driveway that connects the building to Horton Foote Drive, allowing visitors safe and easy access to the building in any weather.

Scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, November 16th at the entrance of the Duson-Hansen Fine Arts Building on the WCJC Wharton Campus, 911 Boling Hwy. in Wharton, the event will include a ribbon cutting, brief remarks, and a short presentation by the WCJC Drama Department.  Refreshments will be served and the public is invited.

“This  project  demonstrates  the  WCJC  Foundation’s  commitment  to  partnering  with  our  board  of trustees to make enhancements to benefit our students and the community,” stated WCJC President Betty McCrohan.   “We are grateful for the Foundation’s generosity and the support of their many donors who made this much-needed and beautiful driveway a reality.”

The WCJC Foundation Office is located on the Wharton campus inside the J. M. Hodges Library.  For additional information on the Foundation or to learn how to support their mission visit wcjcfoundation.org or contact Jonathan Jeter at  jeterj@wcjc.edu or 979-532-6981.
