Wharton County Junior College recently honored outgoing Athletic Director Keith Case with a special "Keith Case Day" event at Corbett Park in Wharton. Case threw out the first pitch after receiving a special baseball bat presented by WCJC President Betty McCrohan and Duncan Corbett, benefactor of Corbett Park. Some of Case's former players attended the special event, gathering together for a photograph before the game. Case arrived at WCJC from Mississippi in 2014, initially hired as head baseball coach. He was later named Athletic Director, replacing long-time AD Gene Bahnsen. Case will retire this summer.
