WHARTON, TEXAS – The National Institute of Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) has recognized eight Wharton County Junior College instructors for outstanding commitment to their particular fields of study.
Representing WCJC, the 2026 NISOD Excellence Award recipients include: Dr. Archna Bhasin (Life Sciences), Gerald Kinder (Vocational Sciences), Nicole Lippolis (Math and Physical Sciences), Debbie Lutringer (Allied Health), Sandra McCarstle (Technology and Business), Dr. Brittany May (Communications and Fine Arts), Jill Oglesbee (Social and Behavioral Sciences) and Catherine Shoppa (Communications and Fine Arts).
“WCJC is fortunate to have such dedicated and talented faculty,” said WCJC’s Vice President of Instruction Leigh Ann Collins.
Recipients will be recognized during the 48th annual NISOD conference on May 23-26 in Austin. NISOD’s Excellence Awards recognize faculty each year who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment and contribution to their students and colleagues. NISOD is a membership organization committed to promoting and celebrating excellence in teaching, learning and leadership at community and technical colleges.
