The ESL program is for non-English learners and centers on making you a better communicator. The course focuses on pronunciation and use of the language as well as reading and writing skills. During the class, you will:

Morning Class: 9AM - 12PM
Evening Class: 6PM - 9PM
On-Campus: Richmond, Wharton, El Campo, Bay City
Off-Campus: Sealy JH School, Gordon Library (Sealy, TX), Online

Yes! All of our Adult Education and Literacy classes are free. However, your instructor may encourage you to purchase additional study materials for the course.
That’s OK! We have many students who take this course without any experience speaking English. Hard work, good study habits, and attending class will help you learn, but it will take time.
Online and in-person classes are generally offered in the morning (9am - noon) and in the evening (6pm - 9pm). However, please email AELRegister@wcjc.edu for up-to-date class offerings.
