Workforce Grants and Funding

Continuing Education Grants and Funding

Train your employees with the help of WCJC and the Texas Workforce Commission. If you are a small or large business, you may be eligible for workforce funding from the TWC to help with the cost of training new or current employees.

Workforce Grants

Workforce grants save you money while you train your employees and help you make money in the long run by keeping your employees on the cutting edge of new skills and technologies. Look into these grants to access funding.
The Skills Development Fund is Texas' premier upskilling program. SDF grants provide site-specific, customized training opportunities for Texas businesses and employees to learn new skills, increase productivity, and improve wages.

The Continuing Education Department at WCJC will work closely with the leaders at your company to help develop a 12-month training plan that focuses on technical training and encourages soft-skills development.
SDF sets aside up to $2 million dollars for small businesses in Texas. This program is specifically designed to help businesses that have less than 100 employees. Businesses can apply for noncredit training programs offered by WCJC. The Texas Workforce Commission handles all the applications and works with the college to fund the courses that businesses choose for their employees. This program primarily supports training new workers, but it can also help current employees improve their skills.
